Scheduling an Appointment
Contact
To make the most efficient use of time, our physicians prefer to see their patients by appointment. Persons who have appointments are given first priority except in emergencies. If you are unsure about which physician you should see, you may call the main clinic at 218-739-2221 and ask for a Patient Care Coordinator. Out-of-town patients may call toll free at 1-800-247-1066. It will be necessary for you to explain your symptoms to allow the receptionist to assist you with your appointment.

If you prefer, you may call each department directly.

When you call

Please give the receptionist your full name, including initials, date of birth, your address, phone number and the name of the person responsible for your account. This will allow us to have your records ready for your physician when you arrive for your appointment.

Registering
There are two ways to register:
1. When you arrive for your appointment, please stop at the registration desk in the lobby. Please notify us of any changes in name, address, phone number or insurance carrier. You will then be directed to the appointment desk in your physician’s area where you will be given further instructions.
2. If our staff has called to pre-register you, please stop at the cashier’s desk for your paperwork. You will then be directed to the appointment desk in your physician’s area.
In some instances you may be informed to go directly to an appointment desk. It is extremely important for us to have correct information so we can file your insurance claim accurately. We ask every patient to present their insurance card at each visit.
Cancellations
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call and cancel as soon as possible. We can assist you with rescheduling your appointment and possibly schedule another patient at the time that has become available.
New Patients
If you are a new patient there are two ways to register:
1. If you are a new patient please arrive at the registration desk fifteen minutes prior to your appointment so our Patient Information Clerk may obtain the necessary information to prepare your medical file. If you have any questions about medical or financial concerns, the clerk can direct you to the appropriate department.
2. If our staff has called to pre-register you, please stop at the cashier’s desk for your paperwork. You will then be directed to the appointment desk in your physician’s area.
In some instances you may be informed to go directly to an appointment desk.
Please allow extra time for your first appointment which may include taking a thorough medical history to create your medical record.
Routine checkups may require only a short amount of time. However, if a specific medical problem prompted your visit, diagnosis and treatment could require tests and follow-up appointments.
