Originally from Manila in the Philippines, Dr. Ona graduated from the Far Eastern University – Institute of Medicine in Manila with a Doctor of Medicine Degree. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency through the New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York, New York. Dr. Ona also received a year and a half of subspecialty training in Hematology – Oncology through the New York Medical College Westchester County Medical Center in New York, New York. Dr. Ona is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Ona and her husband, Gabor have two children. Her interests include swimming and traveling.
