Originally from Rugby, North Dakota, Marie Braaten received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of North Dakota and Master of Science Degree in Gerontological Nursing from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners, National Conference of Gerontological Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and is ANCC Certified as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. Marie and her husband, Dave have two children. She enjoys reading, music, crocheting, and gardening.
