Originally from Bismarck, North Dakota, Dr. Smith graduated from the University of North Dakota, earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and completed his residency in Pathology at Sioux Valley Hospital and the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Pathology and is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. He is the Medical Director of Lake Region Healthcare Corporation’s and Fergus Falls Medical Group’s Laboratories and serves as Otter Tail County coroner. Dr. Smith and his wife, Lisa have three children. He enjoys reading, golf, tennis, and traveling.
