Medical Records
The Fergus Falls Medical Group, P.A. is committed to developing, maintaining, and protecting a complete and accurate accounting of your medical care. Your right to access and protect your health record is stated in our “HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices” brochure. You may contact Health Information Services Department in the clinic for medical needs such as requesting or transferring records from other facilities. Medical records are maintained indefinitely as long as you remain an active patient at the Fergus Falls Medical Group, P.A. or any of its outreach facilities. If there is no medical activity or communication documented within a period of ten years, the record may be destroyed. Records of minors, pregnancies and other sensitive medical situations may fall under longer retention guidelines.
Special Tests
Your physician may request laboratory tests or x-rays at the time of your examination. For procedures requiring special preparation, you may be asked to return at another time. If your visit includes tests, please ask if your physician wants to see you after your tests are completed. If so, notify the receptionist at the appointment desk when you return so that your physician can complete your examination.
    Please allow a minimum of 5 days for test results. You will be contacted by letter with normal results and by phone with abnormal results. If you have any questions or concerns, call your physician’s nurse. If you do not receive a report within seven to ten days, please call and inform us that you have not been contacted with the test results.
Patient Comments and Concerns
The goal of our entire staff is to provide our patients with quality medical care. We welcome constructive criticism or suggestions that will help us to achieve our goal. If you have any comments or concerns, or are dissatisfied in any way, please contact our Business Office Manager, Director of Nursing Services, or Outreach Coordinator. We will evaluate the situation with you, and try to come to a mutually satisfactory solution.
Employment
All applicants are asked to pick up an application at the front desk of the main clinic. No resumes without an application are accepted.
