He interned at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis and completed his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Dr. Schmidt is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Schmidt and his wife, Pam have three children. He enjoys canoeing, camping, skiing, and other outdoor activities.
